A client asked us to help make a few spaces in their home more functional and to help add some texture and sound absorption to their open concept design.
During their initial renovations, their contractors had to run the HVAC ducting through their front entrance closet, rendering it useless. We were able to add some shelving, hooks and a small space for hanging coats, making use of the small space.

Both their front entrance and office space lacked warm texture and suffered from sound traveling. We found these great acoustic panels from @thewoodveneerhub the help absorb some of the sound and also add a textural element.
In the front entrance we created a header with a horizontal slat to help hide the seaming and wrapped the corner. The panels show off the lovely high ceiling and also create a dedicated entrance space in the open concept main floor. The Oil Oak compliments their floors perfectly.

Down in the office the oiled walnut contrasts the flooring but adds so much warmth and a masculine touch.

To top it off, we hung some really amazing art created by the home owner to depict the Northern Lights.
